A virtual work-in-progress sharing presented via Zoom on 3 September 2020.

Fabula Collective in partnership with Japan Foundation presented a virtual work-in-progress sharing of a new play, Private Rehearsals, a contemporary, satirical take on the Alexander Dumas fils story The Lady of The Camellias, written by Japanese playwright Tetsu Taoshita, adapted by UK-based Oladipo Agboluaje and directed by emerging director Hannah Calascione. 

Paris, 1968. The future is uncertain. The theatres are closed. Lucienne cannot leave her apartment. What lies do we tell ourselves to survive a crisis?

The play was read by actors Alexandra Gilbreath as Lucienne, Abdul Salis as Raymond and Joji Otani-Hansen as Paul.
